- I Was born in South Jersey and worked in the area of scientific glass ware even while in high school. I Moved to California in '76, then in my mid twenties. My occupational choice involved traveling the state working in research glassware for the then burgeoning silicon industry. There I worked as a Torchwork Glass Sculptor. Now I,m re-settled in Philadelphia Pa. I,m still a glass flameworker. After years of hiatus, I am now working with the human form. I have sold to galleries throughout the eastern seaboard as well as been established along the cal. coast. I have over the years used a more technical approach to my work. I use a wide array of unusual torches many modified with various foot pedals and compressors, some I've imported, my Fisher is from the 70's. Am currently obsessing on an rotajet turret(gattling like) unit. Have used various cannon burners I often modify, but am leaning towards a smaller but hotter and more controlled flame. I am never board with this artistic venture. I have yet to attain the sought perfection in a solitary piece of glass though I have created and delivered thousands! Thanks for previewing Wm.R.
